Lucky Chin Adoptions was formed and is run for the sole purpose of rescuing any
chin we deem in harm's way either physically or emotionally in its present living situation.
Lucky Chin Adoptions will purchase Japanese Chin offered at puppy mill auctions.
Purchase is not determined by whether said auction is a dispersal sale or otherwise. Our
purpose is to cut down the breeding stock available to other puppy millers.
Lucky Chin Adoptions will purchase Japanese Chin offered for sale by backyard breeders
if said breeder is closing out their “Chin” lines. Purchase will not be influenced by the fact
there may be other breeds on the premises still being perpetuated. We cannot save them all.
Our niche in the rescue area is the Japanese Chin.
Lucky Chin Adoptions will purchase Japanese Chin from pet stores, if said Chin has been
on the sale’s floor for a lengthy time and is determined to be at it’s end of desirability, or
if illness or behavior problems place this individual Chin in peril. Ideally, Lucky Chin Adoptions
objective would be to purchase the Chin at a loss to the pet store in hopes of demonstrating to
them that selling Japanese Chin in a pet store is not a profitable venture.
